Job Title: Quality and Compliance Officer

Salary: GBP 30,000 : GBP 35,000 (DOE)

The Role : What You'll Do As the Quality and Compliance Officer, you will support all quality and compliance functions and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing management systems across a number of standards and certifications, including ISO and regulatory codes. Responsibilities include:
: Managing document control activities to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, 27001, 17020, 17025, and the Forensic Science Regulator's Code of Practice.
: Administering and maintaining the electronic Quality and Compliance Management System.
: Supporting root cause analysis, investigations, and 5WHY methodology for non:conformance, complaints, and other quality issues.
: Conducting internal audits and preparing relevant documentation and reports.
: Supporting the production of KPIs, internal communications, and senior leadership reporting.
: Engaging with external assessment and certification bodies.
: Promoting continuous improvement initiatives including FMEA.
: Building strong internal relationships across all departments to support quality and compliance goals.
Candidate Profile : What We're Looking For Essential:
: Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 27001, 17025, etc.) and/or FSR CoP, or a strong willingness to undergo training.
: Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage complex workloads.
: Strong IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
: Proven ability to adapt to new systems and software tools.
Desirable:
: Experience in a regulated or forensic environment.
: Internal auditor qualification or audit experience.
: Previous exposure to root cause analysis methods.
: Background in process review and improvement.
