We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Transport Team Leader at Hinkley Point C.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Transport and Booking teams’ management of transport availability, creation and management of Vehicle Controlled Access Point (VCAP) bookings via the Magenta process using the Fulcrum system, and overseeing the coordination with Building Material Controllers to ensure materials can be safely received at point of use. Acting as the operational interface between Wilson James transport operations and MEH Logistics, the role oversees all vehicle movements are correctly planned, authorised, sequenced, and executed in line with site access rules, safety controls, and construction delivery priorities.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a strong and visible commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards, ensuring all transport movements and access bookings comply with site rules and Wilson James / MEH safety requirements.
* Provide daily supervision of the Transport and Booking Coordinators, ensuring tasks are distributed efficiently.
* Oversee daily transport requirements for material movements from IDPB to onsite locations including Bunker 6, C2, and other construction interfaces.
* Manage the accurate Magenta (VCAP) bookings using the Fulcrum system, ensuring all vehicle movements are authorised, sequenced correctly, and aligned to delivery readiness.
* Act as a Fulcrum super-user, responsible for system improvements and fault reporting.
* Act as the primary operational interface between Wilson James transport operations and MEH Logistics for all IDPB outbound movements.
* Monitor execution of planned movements and proactively manage exceptions including delays, cancelled bookings, access conflicts, or site constraints and report to the Stock and materials manger and building managers.
* Report accurate movement records and booking status within Fulcrum and associated MEH systems, displaying an accurate audit trail.
* Manage and report operational risks, access conflicts, or repeated booking failures to the MEH Logistics Lead and Wilson James Supervisor through active engagement in area coordination meetings.
* Support continuous improvement of booking accuracy, delivery reliability, and interface efficiency through structured feedback and data review.
* Monitor material status during delivery lifecycle to ensure accurate custody chain reporting.
* Oversee high first time-right delivery success from IDPB to construction interfaces.
* Develop and manage processes to minimise cancelled or delayed vehicle movements due to booking or readiness failures.
What We Need From You
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience in transport coordination, logistics scheduling, or site access control within a regulated construction or infrastructure environment.
* Familiarity with vehicle booking, access control, or permit systems.
* Strong operational coordination and communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment with competing priorities.
* Good IT literacy with confidence in managing live operational systems.
* Understanding of construction site logistics, vehicle movements, and access control principles.
* HPC/NNB site experience.
* Fulcrum / Magenta experience desirable.
* Ability to work with internal processes and systems.
Site Requirements
* Ability to provide a 3-year work/education/unemployment history for vetting.
* Ability to obtain an HPC site pass.
* Willingness to travel via a bus journey of approximately 45-minute to/from site.
