Temp All Staffing are currently recruiting for a Children’s Residential Deputy Manager on behalf of our client. You will be responsible for assisting the home manager with the leading of staff, whilst maintaining the smooth running of the home which provides care for up to 6 young people aged between 9-17 with learning difficulties. The organisation is committed to helping and preparing young people to grow and develop into adulthood by building positive relationships and learning within a nurturing environment. The home is looking to recruit individuals who are enthusiastic, motivated and have a desire to support children and young people with additional needs.

The Role
7. Organise, plan and lead shifts
8. Responsibility for staff performance, training and support
9. Assist the registered manager with daily tasks
10. Work in line with children and young peoples care plans
11. Supervision of staff
12. Provide on-call support and contribute to working a reduced amount of mixture of shifts, including sleep ins on a rota basis.
13. Encourage independence and support vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities
Your Experience/ Requirements
14. Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
15. Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Workforce
16. Willingness to complete the Level 5 Managers qualification which will be funded by the organisation.
17. At least four years’ experience in working in a children’s home as a senior support worker/team leader rating of good or outstanding with Ofsted
18. Experience working in an LD home
19. A good team organiser and good team player
20. A strong skill set in managing people and collaboration with key stake holders.
