Kingsbrook School are recruiting for a School Counsellor to join our Therapy team. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment, who will be required to work closely with other professionals providing support to students, reporting to member of the senior leadership team

Located in a peaceful and calming rural setting, Kingsbrook School is a therapeutic day and residential school, providing specialist education and care services to children and young people aged 11-18 years with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Our students may also have a range of additional complex needs as a result of trauma, attachment disorders and other associated issues.

The successful candidate will be registered and will hold BSc Occupational Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification, along with the following characteristics:

Communication – Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Positive working relationships, good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
