Are you the type of person that gets bored doing the same thing day in, day out? Coming in as a Controls and Commissioning Engineer, that won’t be a worry as all projects are completely bespoke and you’d be responsible for running projects full cradle to grave from the initial electrical design stages, programming the PLC systems through to Commissioning so it’s safe to say no two days will be the same. They’re looking for someone that can hit the ground running so ideally, you’d need experience designing from scratch, they use AutoCAD Electrical but they’d be open to training someone up if you’ve got experience working with other packages. For the programming stages, you’ll be based in the office in Burnley and expected to programme from scratch using Allen Bradley but again, they’d be open to someone with expertise in different packages as you’ll likely be able to pick it up relatively easily. You’ll be onsite 30% of the time for the commissioning and installation stages but the majority of it will be UK based. The company manufacture and supply bespoke machinery to the bakery industry so each project will be different, giving you plenty of variety within the role.
