We’re looking for an experienced light auto/petrol Service Technician to join our Outdoors dealership in Ashburton. You’ll be a true “all-rounder” - from Polaris ATVs and farm equipment to a range of recreational gear like caravans and marine, you’ll turn your hand to a variety of challenges throughout the working week. If you’re keen to be part of an enthusiastic team who thrive off looking after our customer base both local and further afield, this may be for you!
About the Role
With the variety of working on a range of products, this role offers:
Challenge and exposure: Maintain and service a range of recreational and farm equipment, problem-solving to get our customers back up and running.
Variety: Work from both our on-site workshop and on-farm, servicing and repairing farm equipment at customer locations.
Premium machines and technology: Assemble and conduct checks on new product arrivals, ensuring they are ready for delivery.
Upskilling and development: Maintain and upskill your knowledge of new products and technology, and brush up on your technical skills and servicing techniques with ongoing, targeted product training.
About You
You’re an enthusiastic Tech with strong experience in troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of a range of equipment.
Ideally you’ll have:
Experience working on small engines, ATVs, and farm equipment.
Qualifications in petrol / light automotive engineering.
WOF Vehicle Inspector Certification would be an advantage!
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to work well within a team and independently.
A knack for problem-solving and persistence to deliver for our customers.
