Mechanical Site Supervisor
Location: Bournemouth
FJA is recruiting on behalf of a leading national service provider in the utilities sector for an experienced Site Supervisor – Mechanical to strengthen their construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects with a contractor known for quality, safety, and long‑term career development.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well‑organised working environment.
* Ensure all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date.
* Maintain high QA/QC standards throughout the mechanical installation process.
* Supervise works in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, and work instructions.
* Monitor and record progress of works using record drawings or other suitable methods.
* Identify and record non‑conformances and improvement opportunities, agreeing corrective actions with relevant parties.
* Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of mechanical works.
About You
* Several years’ experience within the water or utilities sector, with a strong mechanical background.
* Proven expertise in pipework fabrication, pressure testing, welding, and mechanical erection.
* Proficient in pipeline fabrication and assembly, including punching and snagging to Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings.
* Qualified to HNC/HND level in Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised welding apprenticeship with substantial practical experience.
* Hold valid SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
