We are working with a well-established and growing engineering consultancy in the South West that is looking to appoint a talented Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer who is keen to take on project responsibility while progressing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. Key responsibilities include:
Working on a variety of structural projects across the South West
Acting as a primary point of contact on projects
Managing the design and delivery of structural engineering schemes
Undertaking hands-on design and design coordination
Reviewing and checking designs produced by other engineers
Managing Engineers and Technicians and reporting to the Director of Engineering
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
Liaising with other engineering disciplines within the consultancy
Attending site meetings and undertaking site inspections
Communicating with clients, architects, contractors, and statutory authorities
The Candidate

Requirements:
Degree qualified (BEng/MSc or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience within a structural design consultancy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Organised and driven with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
Desirable:
Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership
Full clean driving licence
