Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (Sc5) to join a multi-disciplinary adult social care team on a temp-to-perm basis. You’ll be working alongside Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists to support service users in achieving greater independence and quality of life.
This role involves supporting care coordination, contributing to assessments, and helping to deliver an efficient and person-centred health and social care service within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in coordinating care for individuals with a wide range of health and social care needs.
* Support the delivery of occupational therapy interventions as directed by qualified professionals.
* Liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure holistic support planning.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate records within case management systems.
* Promote independence, wellbeing, and personalised outcomes for service users and their carers/families.
* Ensure services are delivered in line with agreed thresholds and available resources, maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.
About You
* Previous experience in a support or assistant role within health or social care (e.g. reablement, rehabilitation, or adult care).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
* A team player with good organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Confident using digital systems for record-keeping and case management.
* Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Contract and Logistics
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (initial agency engagement, with potential for long-term employment)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 / PAYE
Weekly Hours: 35
Location: Easily accessible North London office; hybrid/onsite working to be confirmed
