Job summary
A Facilities Catering Assistant is being recruited to support and assist the Chef Manager and Facilities Catering Supervisor in providing a highly professional service within a healthcare setup. This includes coverage of areas within Catering such as retail outlets, back of house catering preparation rooms, and private patient services at Heatherwood Hospital and Greenwood Kitchen.
The hours are 37.5 per week, covering Hospital Catering Services from 7.00am to 7.00pm. Flexible rotas will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Maths and English assessment followed by a formal interview. Successful new team members must complete Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene and Food Allergy Training courses within their first week of employment.

Main duties of the job
1. Assist in delivering a professional, customer-focused catering service to patients, staff, and visitors.
2. Perform all associated catering duties efficiently and to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
3. Follow daily operational duties as outlined by the supervisor, maintaining high standards and a friendly approach.
4. Work across all areas of the catering department, including main kitchen, staff, and visitor outlets, adapting to staffing needs.
