We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and hardworking chef to join our close knit team at the House. Experience cooking in a commercial kitchen is preferable, but a hard-working, reliable and passionate attitude is essential.
You will be preparing, cooking and serving our breakfast and brunch menu to a high standard, whilst creating monthly specials and exploring new ideas and flavours to make dishes with a difference. You will also help to produce delicious cakes, pastries and sweets for display on our front of house cake counter.

You will be able to work in a high-pressure, high-turnover environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player and be able to work unsupervised. You will also be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
* Work with management of kitchen to create interesting monthly specials and cakes
* Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stations to ensure efficient workflow
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
* Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service during busy periods
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
* Support junior team members through training and guidance when necessary
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Excellent communication with both team members and suppliers
Experience
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
* Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
* Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high standards of customer service is advantageous
* Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential depending on experience
* Enthusiasm and desire to contribute to exciting menu changes is essential
