Have you always fancied getting into NDT, but haven’t been sure where to start looking or how to go about doing so? Look no further: we’ve got the job for YOU!
Our sister company, Aerospace NDT Limited, has nestled nicely into the Morgan Ward group since it first joined a couple of years ago, enjoying its own success with the unrivalled support of one of the world’s most renowned providers of Non-Destructive Testing services to the aerospace and general engineering sectors. With the company’s steadfast attitude and ambitious plans firmly in motion, Aerospace NDT Limited is ready and able to grow its experienced NDT team and invest in a trainee who stands head and shoulders above the rest to come and be a part of the largest aviation NDT service provider in Europe.
You’ll undertake training in multiple methods within the field of NDT, with a hands-on approach throughout your OJT (on the job training) and continual active involvement in learning inspection techniques within an MRO environment. Alongside some of the most renowned and respected individuals in aviation NDT, our team of experts will help harness your ability to become the best version of ‘you,’ all while transforming you into an incredible Level 2. Here’s what we’re looking for in our newest trainee:
* A cast iron work ethic
* A shining personality, with great banter (and an indestructible core), and genuinely love working as part of a team
* Able to follow instructions, listen to and learn from constructive criticism, and have great communication skills
* Ideally possess at least one year’s experience of working in a Part 145 organisation in any capacity, or have some experience of working within the aerospace / aviation sector OR
* Have worked in a challenging / hostile environment that demonstrates what you’re made of
If you’re work-shy or if a hard day’s graft isn’t your thing, this job isn’t for you; there’s some challenging environments (ask anyone who’s worked in a fuel tank!) so you need to be happy to work at heights and in confined spaces, the hours can be VERY long at times and quite unsociable with nights, weekends, and working away being the norm, and maintenance season can be a bit of a pig. However, the rewards are many with this opportunity and you’ll have plenty of exciting opportunities to travel the world, work on some incredible projects and with all types of commercial and military aircraft, all while you carve a stable, long-term career in one of the most fascinating industries out there.
Throughout your training, you can expect incremental pay increases while you learn on the job; in your first year, you can expect an OTE of around £32k, which includes the annual company bonus, and the expected overtime you’ll need to put in while you train. There’s also enhanced annual leave, private medical cover and a dental plan, an enhanced company pension scheme, as well as uplifts in other company benefits.
If you love the sound of this fantastic opportunity and think you’ve got what it takes to join the best in aviation NDT, we’d love to hear from you! Get ready to level up your career and take the plunge into the incredible world of NDT, and send your CV to:
