Specialist Behaviour Support Worker
Salary: £29,112 per annum, 40 hours per week.
Workplace: Nimrod House, Mental Health Social Care Service.

What You’ll Do
* Observe and monitor customer behaviours, including duration, intensity and impact.
* Plan and implement appropriate interventions to modify and resolve behaviours.
* Handle psychologically behavioural changes with superb interpersonal and relationship skills.
* Collaborate with community support organisations accessible in the community.
* Present and provide feedback to other professionals in a formal setting.
* Report possible cases of abuse, neglect or endangerment appropriately.
* Participate in reviewing and designing behavioural intervention plans.
* Implement behaviour support plans and measure goals and objectives to ensure they are met.
* Communicate with parents and care managers regarding customer progress.
Other Responsibilities
* Deliver support to enable customers to develop independent living skills.
* Support customers with domestic tasks and practical assistance.
* Participate in support planning and risk management.
* Carry out security duties and monitor CCTV throughout the shift.
* Enable customers to use community facilities as directed.
* Assist customers to integrate into community – accompany to appointments, shopping, college enquiries, public amenity visits.
* Report observations relating to customers’ welfare.
* Adhere to all policies, procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing and statutory requirements.
* Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are always adhered to.
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of experience working with customers with autism/behaviour that challenges and diabetes.
* Good IT skills.
* Valid driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience with PBS Approach.
