Senior Surveyor – Facilities Management Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum Company Car/Car Allowance Hours: 40 hours per week Location: Birmingham Business Park Reports to: Head of Major Works About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Surveyor to join our clients dynamic Facilities Management team. This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing property and asset management, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality surveying services across our estate. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the value, safety, and functionality of facilities. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage property inspections, condition surveys, and lifecycle assessments. Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategies. Provide expert advice on building fabric, M&E systems, and statutory compliance. Manage refurbishment, fit-out, and capital works projects from inception to completion. Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and value for money. Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to ensure project delivery aligns with business objectives. Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards. Support the development of asset management strategies and contribute to long-term estate planning. Skills & Experience Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline (RICS accreditation desirable). Proven experience in a similar surveying role within the FM or property sector. Strong knowledge of building regulations, health & safety legislation, and compliance standards. Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficient in using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
