Retail Assistant
Everything we do starts with the people we serve. As a Retail Assistant at Screwfix, you’ll be at the core of our operations, ensuring customers receive genuinely great service and support across our wide range of products.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers and assisting them with product queries.
* Process transactions accurately at the till.
* Pick, pack and deliver orders to customers and support home deliveries.
* Stock shelves, replenish stock and keep the store environment tidy and welcoming.
* Work efficiently within assigned shift patterns to support a healthy work‑life balance.
Availability & Working Hours
Work weekdays and weekends, covering the following opening hours:
* Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
* Saturday: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
* Sunday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Training & Development

* First Steps to Management – 16‑week programme leading to a Trade Counter Supervisor role.
* Power Up to Trade+ – 12‑15‑month apprenticeship with practical and online learning towards a Trade+ Sales Supervisor.

Interview Process
Your interview will consist of competency‑based questions, a discussion of your experience and knowledge of Screwfix, and may be conducted via phone, video or in‑store. Successful completion leads to an official offer and pre‑employment checks.
