*Summary*
"We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to join our team in Northwich Cheshire. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional care services, ensuring compliance with CQC standards while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and service users. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping our mission to provide individualized support to adults with learning disabilities."
*Key Responsibilities*
*Leadership & Management*
* Provide effective leadership and line management to 4 Service Managers, ensuring they deliver safe, high-quality services.
* Lead, motivate, and develop staff to maintain a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure robust supervision, appraisal, and training systems are in place across all services.
* Promote We Support’s values and embed a positive, person-centred culture.
*Recruitment & Workforce Planning*
* Work closely with the Recruitment Lead to ensure safe and effective recruitment processes are followed.
* Maintain oversight of workforce planning across all services, ensuring staffing levels are safe and sustainable.
* Provide the Recruitment Lead with up-to-date staffing requirements, rota gaps, and service-specific needs.
* Support Service Managers to participate in values-based interviews and recruitment activities where appropriate.
* Ensure all new staff receive a thorough induction, shadowing, and training before working independently.
*HR & Staff Wellbeing*
* Ensure absence management, return-to-work meetings, and performance issues are managed consistently in line with policy.
* Act on concerns, complaints, safeguarding, or conduct issues promptly and fairly.
* Work with HR and Service Managers to address disciplinary issues where required.
*Care Quality & Compliance*
* Ensure all care plans and risk assessments are person-centred, up to date, and proportionate to people’s needs.
* Approve and sign off high-risk assessments and ensure urgent risks are addressed within 24 hours.
* Oversee compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and act as the key point of contact for inspectors.
* Monitor quality assurance systems, audits, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure all services are inspection-ready at all times.
*Performance & KPI Oversight*
* Maintain oversight of organisational and service-level KPIs, ensuring performance is consistently monitored, analysed, and reported.
* Use KPIs to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement, taking proactive action where needed.
* Provide regular KPI reports and updates to the Operations Manager, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Support Service Managers to understand and deliver on their KPIs, embedding performance management into day-to-day practice.
* Drive continuous improvement through action plans, staff engagement, and feedback from people supported.
*Health, Safety & Safeguarding*
* Ensure health and safety policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work are in place across all services.
* Take lead responsibility for safeguarding, ensuring all concerns are reported and acted upon in line with Local Safeguarding Board and CQC requirements.
* Ensure incidents and notifiable events are reported promptly to the Operations Manager, Local Authority, and CQC.
*Operational Oversight*
* Oversee the day-to-day running of 15 supported living services across Cheshire West and Trafford.
* Ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards.
* Attend key meetings, reviews, and multi-agency discussions, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
* Ensure robust communication channels with staff, families, professionals, and external stakeholders.
*Service Development*
* Support the Operations Manager and Directors in the development of new services, including due diligence, transition planning, and registration processes.
* Contribute to business growth opportunities by ensuring We Support is recognised for high-quality provision.
*Policies & Procedures*
* Ensure policies and procedures remain up to date, reflecting best practice and changes in legislation.
* Promote staff awareness and compliance with all policies.
*Professional Development*
* Maintain and develop professional knowledge and leadership skills in line with CQC requirements, regulatory changes, and best practice guidance.
* Undertake regular training, development activities, and networking to ensure awareness of changes in legislation, standards, and emerging practices in supported living and learning disability services.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning within the management team and wider staff groups.
*Essential Requirements*
* Significant leadership experience in supported living or learning disability services.
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and best practice in social care.
* Experience in managing multiple services and line managing Service Managers.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.
* NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards).
* Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across Cheshire West and Trafford.
*Desirable*
* Experience of working with people with autism, complex needs, or behaviours that challenge.
* Track record of achieving and maintaining “Good” or “Outstanding” CQC ratings.
* Experience of service development and growth.
* Experience in implementing or overseeing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
