Overview
We are looking for an organized Funding and Payroll Administrator with a passion for making a difference to others. You will work 37.5 hours per week at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate, helping ensure the safe and smooth running of services for people in our care.
Responsibilities
* Provide high standard organisational and administrative support.
* Responsible daily production of reports and bed statistics, funding authorization documentation.
* Ensure all daily reports are completed to a strict deadline.
* Ensure all new admissions have necessary funding from the outset.
* Submit funding details including admission and specialist nursing costs to the Group accounts department daily.
* Maintain diary system for all funding requests.
* Promote and maintain good reputation of the Hospital, acting as a positive role model.
* Maintain complete and accurate financial records using computer and manual systems.
* Forward required paperwork to NS billing regarding patient admission, specialist nursing and travel expenses promptly.
* Manage patient fee variations and discharges.
* Reception cover may be required.
* Maintain accurate records of all petty cash transactions.
* Process payroll information on a weekly basis.
* Order and maintain records of staff uniforms.
* Process, on a weekly basis, receipt and review of suppliers invoices and statements.
* Operate office equipment such as fax, photocopier and computer as required.
* Answer telephone and respond to all enquiries in friendly and efficient manner.
* Provide administration support to all disciplines within the Hospital, meeting deadlines, compiling reports and taking meeting minutes as required.

Qualifications
* Experience as a Funding and payroll administrator in health care with knowledge of mental health.
* Flexible, organised, able to prioritise workloads, solve problems and make decisions.
* Calm under pressure and can work under own initiative.
* Strong written and verbal communicator with eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Highly proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows and internet.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
