Visit our website to learn more. Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated EHS Advisor to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Safety is our main priority at Watson-Marlow. It’s our Number 1 Value. So, as our EHS Advisor you will be an ambassador and custodian of our vital safety culture. With operational Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) responsibility across all Watson-Marlow Ltd. sites in Falmouth and Redruth, your role will be hands-on with much of your time being spent on the shop floors of our factories, in our warehouses, and amongst the general office population. Your key responsibility will be to provide EHS support and guidance across the business with a focus on continuous improvement, whilst driving company, group and statutory compliance. What you’ll be doing You will provide EHS support, advice and coaching to department managers, team leaders and operatives. Utilising our EcoOnline EHS management system, you will monitor EHS events that are raised, taking appropriate action to ensure events are safely resolved and closed out, whilst following all appropriate EHS guidelines and regulations. You will review incidents, identifying corrective and preventative actions for future learning. Working in collaboration with all Watson-Marlow Ltd. departments, you will raise awareness of and promote corporate EHS culture and objectives. You will actively and independently maintain your knowledge of current legislative, statutory and sector EHS requirements. With a constant eye on Behaviour Based Safety (BBS), you will actively participate with and engage your colleagues in the principals of BBS. You will be data driven, facilitating the collection, interpretation and reporting of EHS statistics for reporting purposes You will work closely with Group EHS to ensure Watson-Marlow and Spirax-Sarco Engineering policies are up to date and being followed. Supporting the EHSF Manager, you will investigate incidents and where requested undertake the investigation or lead the investigation team. You will support departmental management teams in the development and review of EHS documentation, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and up to date with current legislation. Working in collaboration with the HR Coordinator, or independently, you will develop and deliver EHS training and awareness courses. You will deliver Safety Handover Briefings, Toolbox Talks and Safety Moments. You will support internal and external EHS audit activities as required, monitoring the successful closeout of non-conformances. As an EHS subject matter expert, you will provide professional, accurate and current advice in the development of Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments. You will work closely with the Facilities teams, supporting with site safety matters and on-site infrastructure projects. You will undertake active occupational monitoring such as noise, vibration and COSHH within the workplace. Working with the Environmental & Sustainability Advisor, you will provide your EHS expertise to support the delivery of environmental objectives and targets. Skills/Experience: Some previous experience working as an EHS Advisor, ideally within a manufacturing environment. A current EHS qualification or certification such as NEBOSH General Certificate, Chartered Membership of IOSH or working towards, or equivalent qualification or experience. An understanding of ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001 regulations. Exceptional communication, relationship building and influencing skills, with the confidence to successfully work with people at all levels across the Watson-Marlow and Spirax-Sarco Engineering businesses. The knowledge to provide current and reliable guidance and assistance to site-based teams, including senior and line management. Awareness of the procedures of Root Cause Analysis and Incident Investigation. The confidence and gravitas to challenge poor practice and unsafe actions, inline with our Company Values.
