You'll take a hands-on role in promoting SHEQ excellence across the business, supporting teams, driving compliance, and influencing positive behaviours at all levels.

What you'll be doing:
8. Supporting the investigation of significant health and safety incidents and facilitating the production of reports, documentation, and identification of root cause and business improvements within required timescales
9. Facilitating internal and external audits, including BSI PAS99, ISO 45001, and insurance audits, and liaising with the HSE and the Environment Agency
10. Raising awareness of risk and providing assurance to site management that the health and safety management framework is effective
11. Reviewing health, safety and environment documentation and developing new policies and systems in line with legislation, best practice, and business needs
Your background:
Must have:
12. Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
13. Experience facilitating internal and external audits (BSI PAS99, ISO 45001, insurance, and regulatory)
14. Over 5 years' experience in a safety and environmental management system leadership role within a chemical manufacturing environment, preferably on a COMAH establishment
15. Strong team player with excellent work ethic
Nice to have:
16. NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
17. Experience liaising with authorities such as the HSE and Environment Agency
18. Understanding of process safety in relation to high hazard processes
19. Computer literate, particularly Microsoft packages
20. Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 and OHSAS 45001
