We are the UTAS Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) UK facility in Marston Green, specialising in advanced technical support for Electronic Engine Control units used across the aerospace industry. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of aviation systems worldwide.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of engineering and investigative activities, including:

1. Developing and managing detailed investigation plans for Electronic Engine Control units removed from service

2. Producing comprehensive investigation reports linking in-service failures with MRO findings, identifyinglikely failure modes, root causes and corrective actions

3. Creating and maintaining technical documentation across repair, test and diagnostic processes

4. Providing hands-on engineering support to repair technicians, including component-level diagnostics

5. Designing and improving diagnostic tools to resolve test failures

6. Training technicians in diagnostic tool usage

7. Managing technical and procedural changes within the business

8. Delivering technical support to customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers and internal teams

9. Supporting the global Engine Control Services repair network

10. Managing component obsolescence and supporting cost-reduction initiatives

11. Contributing to continuous improvement of repair processes

12. Ensuring full compliance with EH&S policies and all regulatory requirements

What You Will Learn

13. Aerospace Electronic Engine Control systems and their failure mechanisms

14. Advanced diagnostics, test equipment and investigative engineering techniques

15. Cross-functional collaboration across global aerospace repair networks

16. Change management, process optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies

17. Regulatory and EH&S requirements within the aerospace sector

Qualifications We Prefer

18. HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience)

19. Experience with analogue and digital electronic design

20. Background in aerospace or a similar highreliability industry

21. Understanding of aircraft and engine systems

22. Familiarity with automated and functional test equipment

23. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

24. Proven ability to diagnose technical issues and deliver practical solutions
