We are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity at Lovage for a Manager.
Lovage is a family owned and operated business which opened in 2020 and has successfully been offering casual fine dining to locals and visitors to Bakewell & the Peak District. Offering an A la Carte Menu, Tasting Menu, Wine Flight, and extensive drink & wine list, as well as a more casual style coffee shop.
This is a great role to join our team which offers a fantastic work-life balance with a 4 day working week, Wednesday to Saturday.
The holiday period for employees is 5 weeks paid leave, which includes our 3 week closure over Christmas and New year.
What are we looking for?
- Service and wine experience of 3 years is required
- Management experience is preferred
- Excellent customer service
-Works well in a small team and willing to pitch in for all areas
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
-Overseeing day to day management of reservations, front of house staff, guests, opening & closing procedures & coffee shop
-Food and wine service
-Maintaining quality of service and restaurant cleanliness
-Ordering of stock
-Maintaining new and on-going staff training
-Set up and organisation of day to day operations
- Management of rosters, stock turnover, wine selections & pairings
