Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, nursing, and management, with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This role involves supporting the overall operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with care plans, and leading a team to deliver outstanding service.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the management of daily operations within the care home, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
* Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, addressing their unique needs including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
* Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support for residents.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and staff performance.
* Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance staff skills in senior care practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* Background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with prior supervisory experience in a care environment.
* Knowledge of dementia care practices and experience developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
