 
        Location: Leeds Rate: £19.33 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday / 8:00am - 5:00pm Type: Temp to Permanent We’re currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic facilities maintenance team in Leeds. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering stability, development, and a rewarding working environment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide a customer-facing, highly responsive maintenance service within a large building environment. * Undertake a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a consistently high standard. * Manage and maintain plant rooms, including steam and pump set systems. * Deliver maintenance across various building services, including: * Heating and domestic water systems * Air handling units * LV electrical distribution and switchgear * Fire alarms and emergency lighting * Electrical control systems & BMS * Standby generating plant * Offer technical guidance and support to other maintenance team members. * Provide regular progress reports and maintain accurate maintenance records. * Undertake training to gain Authorised Person status in line with relevant HTMs. * Work with a high level of multi-skilling and flexibility to ensure seamless operations. Requirements: * Mechanical NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification. * Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience. * Strong experience managing plant rooms, pumps, or steam systems. * Proven ability to deliver high-quality maintenance work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. * Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
