As we continue to expand and grow, we are looking for an experienced IT Support Analyst to join our onsite IT Department. You will be responsible for providing IT support services to the full MTL site (approximately 400+ users) in a mixed service desk and face-to-face environment. Your duties will include resolving technical problems related to PCs, servers, and networks. You will ensure all manufacturing processes are supported from an IT perspective and contribute to long-term project planning.
You should have the ability and willingness to make decisions that benefit our end users and the foresight to anticipate the impact of these decisions.
About the role
1. Provide support for desktop PCs, laptops, printers, phones, hardware, and software
2. Deliver 1st (20%), 2nd (70%), and 3rd (10%) level support to all users on site
3. Prioritize and monitor IT issues
4. Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and upgrading of hardware and software systems
5. Liaise with third parties, service providers, suppliers, and contractors to resolve faults, requests, and queries efficiently
6. Ensure network services and protocols, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory, are functioning optimally
7. Maintain internet firewall, web filtering, and email content control systems to minimize inappropriate access and network intrusion risks
8. Maintain backup, virus protection, and disaster recovery policies
9. Communicate clearly and provide updates to non-technical employees
10. Identify suitable products, solutions, and vendors for projects, obtaining quotes for comparison
About you
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or production environments
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Office 365, Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server 2016/2019
* Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences
* Willingness to work outside normal business hours due to manufacturing requirements
* Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Focus on quality and its importance
* Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
Hands-on experience with:
* Active Directory
* MS Group Policy
* Hyper-V
* SQL Server
* Neptune Rapid Development Platform
* TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, VoIP, VLAN
* Firewalls and routers (Watchguard), Cisco Meraki network infrastructure
