Teaching Assistant – Primary Newport, NP20 £89.38 per day | Full-time | Immediate Start We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join friendly and supportive primary schools in the NP20 area. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting pupils in their learning and development on a daily basis. The role involves providing general classroom support, as well as occasionally assisting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required. About the Role: Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis within a primary school setting Help deliver tailored learning activities under the direction of the class teacher Provide emotional and behavioural support to pupils with additional needs Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in lessons Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive learning environment About You: Experience supporting children with ALN/SEN (Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs) is beneficial but not essential A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Must hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Why Join Teaching Personnel?
