Procurement Officer
Vacancies: 3 (2 permanent, 1 fixed-term 3-year)
37 hours per week, hybrid working
Are you a dynamic problem solver and motivated self-starter? Do you have experience in contract management, compliance, data analysis, category management, supply chain management, and procurement? If so, we would like to hear from you.
As a Procurement Officer, you will report to either the Procurement Lead for Communities & Resources (covering Property, Highways, Transport, Waste, and other areas) or the Procurement Lead for People (covering adult and children’s social care, education, and public health). You will be involved in the entire procurement cycle, from planning to contract award, including preparing procurement documentation and supporting evaluation processes.
You will also manage call-offs from central government and external frameworks, publish tenders via the Council's e-tendering platform (In-Tend), and collaborate with stakeholders to embed effective procurement practices.
Additional responsibilities include providing support to the Authority, responding to queries via the Procurement & Commercial email, analyzing data, and generating reports.
