Legal Counsel
Frazer‑Nash Consultancy is seeking an experienced solicitor to join our busy Legal Team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Legal and provide legal advice and support to the business at all levels across a broad range of sectors.
Location: Leatherhead, Bristol or Glasgow (or any Frazer‑Nash office)
Working Pattern: Remote work with one office day per week – flexible hybrid arrangement.

Responsibilities
* Provide legal advice and support to the business, acting as a trusted advisor across Defence and Energy projects.
* Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements (frameworks, MOUs, joint ventures, subcontracts, supply terms).
* Prepare precedent documents and advise on internal projects.
* Offer legal guidance on intellectual property matters, government framework agreements, NEC contracts, MOD DEFCONs, IR35/Off‑Payroll rules, software development agreements and product supply.
* Train and support junior team members, and provide training to business stakeholders on relevant legal developments.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE either in private practice or in‑house.
* Extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interact with project teams, senior management and external parties.
* Strong time‑management, ability to work to challenging deadlines and independently.
* Proven ability to train and develop junior team members.
Beneficial Requirements
* Experience advising on intellectual property, including strategic guidance, patent applications and MOD IP DEFCONs.
* Experience in the energy and/or defence sector.
* Experience with Government Framework Agreements, NEC contracts and MOD DEFCONs.
* Experience with IR35/Off‑Payroll working rules.
* Experience with software development agreements and product supply contracts.
