Your role
* Work individually and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Undertake ecological assessment and habitat design for a variety of development and nature recovery projects.
* Develop innovative, pragmatic approaches to ecological mitigation and compensation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and clients.
* Deliver clear, concise high‑quality ecological deliverables in line with current guidance and good practice.
* Act as ecology lead on projects and manage tasks and projects from bidding through to completion.
About you
* A passion for ecology.
* A good working knowledge of the natural environment and wildlife legislation.
* Proficiency in UKHab surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessment, Ecological Impact Assessment and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
* Good report‑writing skills.
* Strong botanical skills (Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC) level 3+ or equivalent).
* Experience in protected species survey, mitigation and licensing.
* Understanding the importance of work winning through both bidding and maintaining client relationships.
* Ability to manage ecology deliverables / projects from bidding through to completion.
* Membership of CIEEM or equivalent.
* Full driving licence.

This role may require security clearance; offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer.
