Role Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on Warehouse Operator who combines strong operational skills with solid administrative and customer service capabilities. In this role, you will manage the physical flow of materials in the warehouse while also handling documentation, data entry, and regular communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
You will help ensure that incoming and outgoing materials are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently, and that all stakeholders receive a professional and timely service.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Receive, unload, and check incoming materials.
Sort, label, and store materials according to internal procedures and safety standards.
Prepare and pack outbound shipments, ensuring correct labelling, documentation, and quality checks.
Carry out stock checks and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Administration & Documentation
Create and maintain accurate records for inbound and outbound goods (delivery notes, tickets, consignment documents, etc.).
Input data into ERP/warehouse management systems, ensuring that quantities, weights, and product details are correct.
Assist with preparing reports, stock lists, and documentation for audits or internal reviews.
File and archive documents in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with logistics providers to arrange collections and deliveries, tracking shipments where required.
Customer Service & Communication
Act as a friendly and professional point of contact for customers, suppliers, and drivers arriving on site.
Support customers with queries regarding deliveries, collections, documentation, and basic process information.
Communicate clearly with internal departments (e.g. purchasing, sales, production, and finance) to resolve discrepancies or issues.
Handle telephone and email enquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Help ensure a smooth and positive experience for partners visiting the warehouse or dealing with the company remotely.
Essential
Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or operations environment.
Strong administrative skills, with accuracy in data entry and document handling.
Good customer service skills, with a professional and approachable communication style.
Basic IT skills, including experience with email, spreadsheets, and data entry into business systems.
Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance.
Good spoken and written communication skills
