Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities
* Kitchen Cleanliness – Washing dirty dishes, cutting boards, utensils, cutlery and cooking equipment quickly to keep them in rotation. Keeping up to with and cleaning that is required. Keeping the Pot Wash section clean and tidy including all the benches, walls and floor. Ensuring the dishwasher is maintained and regularly salted and descaled. Cleaning and sanitising all meal preparation areas as well as kitchen walls, stoves, sinks, ovens and grills. Sweeping and mopping all kitchen areas during shifts and at the end of shifts. Ensuring that food mixers, cookers and other cooking equipment are clean and in good working order. Reviewing and unpacking all deliveries. Emptying, re-lining and washing rubbish bins as required. Ensuring that refrigerators, freezers and storage areas are clean and well organised. Assisting the Chefs with basic food preparation, which includes washing, peeling, cutting and measuring meal ingredients as per Chef's instructions
* Compliance with Legislation & Record Keeping – Assist with ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation relating to the operation of the kitchen, health & safety and EHO standards.
* Cleanliness & Hygiene – Assist with Ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are always maintained in the kitchen and service areas. Comply with all health & safety requirements as trained. Complete all record checks as directed by your manager
* Punctuality – Ensure that you are always punctual for work. In the event that you are unable to attend work, please follow the company's absence reporting procedure as set out in your company handbook.
* Teamwork – Support and assist colleagues to ensure efficient service is delivered. Actively participate in any training required for your role.
