Overview
School Work Experience - Retail Assistant: Retail volunteers take turns sorting, pricing, displaying, serving and tidying. The key is to be friendly and deliver great customer service. You are welcome to complete your work experience days, and you may decide to stay and do a regular shift if that suits your lifestyle. We are flexible, letting you pick timeslots that fit with your commitments. A bit of training is provided before your first shift with your buddy volunteer; you won’t need any qualifications—just be willing to do whatever is needed. There are opportunities to bring your skills to help the team, from handling vinyl records or identifying antiques to fashion or window displays. We have many tasks in the shop, but being friendly, ready to roll up your sleeves, and working well with volunteers and customers is most important.
