Renishaw is seeking to recruit a Plant Maintenance Engineer based at our Stonehouse site. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the role requires the successful candidate to work as part of a 3‑shift operation with responsibility for the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair of Renishaw production plant and equipment working predominately on CNC machinery.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out preventative scheduled maintenance and fault diagnostic processes (electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic) on a wide range of machinery and equipment, and implementing appropriate remedial/corrective actions. This includes:
* Mazak Nexus, FJV, AJV and Haas machining centres
* Citizen B12, F Series, K16, M20, M32, A32, L32, Mazak Integrex, and Star lathes, including associated barfeed, gantry work‑handling and coolant systems
* Kasto sawing stations with automated deburring systems
* Process finishing equipment – automated deburring, cleaning, polishing, anodising lines
* Laser marking and laser cutting machines
* Injection moulding machines with chiller systems
* CNC cutter grinders
* Mitsubishi, Fanuc & Kuka robotic systems
* Solvent and soap‑based cleaning machines
* Compressed air generation plant with dryers
* LEV and extraction systems
* Demonstrating good electrically/mechanically biased machine‑tool knowledge and diagnostic skills
* Delivering quality workmanship in terms of time, accuracy, and job feedback
* Accurately assessing and communicating fault diagnostic issues and corrective actions to the supervision team
Qualifications
* A minimum of ONC/City and Guilds equivalents in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Proven expertise in CNC machine‑tool repair and maintenance techniques
Desirable Requirements
* Basic PC literacy and familiarity with current Microsoft Office packages
