Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
* Maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work
* Use given strategies, in liaison with the teacher and under their guidance, to support pupils to achieve their outcomes
* Supporting the care needs and well-being of pupils throughout the school day
* Assist with the planning of learning opportunities
* Monitor pupils’ responses to learning opportunities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
* Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' progress, barriers to learning, emotional regulation, etc.
* Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with behaviours that challenge in line with established policy and encourage/promote reflective practice at all times
* Establish constructive relationships with parents/carers
* Provide clerical/administrative support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, money, administering coursework, etc.

* 1-1 sessions with the assessor coach in the workplace

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
* English (grade C/4 or above)
* Maths (grade C/4 or above)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
