NHS Western Isles is currently seeking a Health Visitor Team Lead to join our Balivanich Clinic.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the NHS Western Isles Health Visiting & School Nursing Team to provide a proactive, accessible, and equitable island-wide health visiting and school nursing service.
To provide leadership to the team with responsibility for implementing service developments based on policies and procedures, ensuring a high-quality service within the NMC Code and Clinical Governance frameworks.
Responsible for training student Health Visitors and liaising with higher education establishments.
You must be a Registered Public Health Nurse with a qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Degree.
You should have several years post-registration experience as a Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor, with a diverse caseload and leadership/management experience. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
