You’ll work closely with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds to help them overcome the root causes of their housing challenges — whether financial hardship, health and wellbeing issues, or other personal circumstances. You’ll take responsibility for investigating and processing homelessness applications under the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017), ensuring that customers receive the right level of advice, support, and intervention. Working collaboratively with customers, you’ll develop and implement personalised housing plans that promote independence and help prevent homelessness wherever possible., You’ll be a motivated and empathetic individual who can work effectively in a busy and challenging environment. You’ll have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a sound understanding of housing legislation, and a commitment to preventing homelessness and improving lives. You Will Bring Experience in housing advice, homelessness prevention, or a related field. Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. Strong partnership-working skills across multiple agencies. The ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
