Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a career-minded person to join our team as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician.
Focused mainly on electrical maintenance, you will be required to perform a range of assigned front-line maintenance/operational activities on our sewage pumping stations.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams that are responsible for carrying out scheduled, unscheduled and emergency maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact, and you will be actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites and networks.
What you’ll be doing as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician:
1. Investigate plant failures and perform repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process. This may involve investigating and diagnosing complex faults and performing repairs during incidents.
2. Installing, modifying, and commissioning new plant equipment and diagnosing and repairing faults in systems and plants.
3. Provide technical advice, refer to up-to-date technical knowledge, and provide training or support for technical trainees if required.
