Senior Specialist Physiotherapist Leeds Salary: £43,742 - £50,056 FTE DOE (“The salary for this role will be reviewed once the NHS release their 2024/25 Agenda for Change (AfC)”) Hours: 21 Hours per week

Main Purpose: To work as a specialist within a multidisciplinary team providing physiotherapy within the BIRT neurobehavioural model to individuals with acquired brain injury. To support the development of specialist physiotherapy services across Brainkind pathways: Neurobehavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well-being. To liaise with professionals, organizations, families, and the individuals supported. To act as a professional role model and support clinical leadership to achieve Brainkind objectives.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Work independently within a specialist clinical area, supporting and supervising as needed.
* Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans.
* Deliver effective treatments, adjusting based on patient response and team input.
* Ensure practices are evidence-based and adhere to guidelines.
* Provide expert advice and solve complex clinical problems.
* Engage in specialist interests within the physiotherapy team.
* Contribute to multidisciplinary team goals and use relevant physiotherapy equipment and interventions.
* Record treatment outcomes and complete outcome measure databases timely.
About You:
* Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
* Registered with HCPC.
* Willing to undertake Practice Placement qualification within the first year.
* Experience in neurophysiotherapy assessments and treatment planning.
* Knowledge of clinical governance principles.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
* Experience working with neurological deficits, acquired brain injury, or related fields.
