RTU was set up in 1990 at our home farm, producing ready mix concrete. We are now a hughly successful company working out of a purpose-built manufacturing plant in Newtownabbey.
RTU is also passionate about the environment and at our recycling plant we reduce, recycle and reuse material whenever possible.

Due to expansion we are looking for professional and experienced HGV Drivers who have a valid class 2 license and are able to transport materials throughout N.Ireland. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the open road and meeting new people, and our company offers generous wages, and great benefits.

Responsibilities:
* Delivering products to our customers as scheduled by the dispatch manager
* Complete all delivery paperwork at the time of delivery
* Before completing any driving you must carry out routine daily walk round checks and record accordingly
* Responsible for keeping cab and mixer clean and tidy
* Responsible to be driving within the current tachograph laws
* Maintain and reconcile stock of consumable items, e.g. mortar bags, covers etc
* Report all spillages and accidents if and when required
* Collect cash payments upon delivery and secure them safely
* Ensure you work to the Health and Safety requirements
* Open and lock up sites on early deliveries
* Essential Skills and Experience
* HGV Class 2 Licence, New HGV drivers welcome to apply, Experience not essential as full training provided
* Driver CPC completed to date
* Good knowledge of N.Ireland road network, Belfast in particular
* Effective organisational skills
* Ability to work on your own initiative
* Good communication skills
* Team player, enthusiastic, working well with work colleagues

Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience working in the concrete/construction industry
* Experience driving a Concrete Mixer Truck
