Primary Purpose of Role The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide personal, trust and estate tax compliance and associated advisory services to a mix of clients. Also, provide assistance to the Senior Manager / Director / Partners in both compliance and advisory client work. Key Duties: Main point of contact for clients to obtain relevant facts to process the client file. Preparation of and reviewing personal self-assessment tax returns and claims for HNW individuals, trusts and estates. (Preparation will be mainly for more complex returns and reviewing will be mainly for more basic returns). Preparation and submission of Capital Gains Tax / Income / Inheritance tax reporting forms. Dealing with HMRC enquiries, penalty notices etc. Liaising with clients and building and maintaining relationships. Advising on day to day tax queries from clients. Supporting more senior staff in the Private Client Tax department with tax planning, including preparing IHT/CGT computations, wealth schedules and packs for advisory meetings. Supporting more senior staff in the Private Client Tax department with processes and efficiencies. Coach and mentor junior members of the team to ensure compliance and service delivery.
