Charity Jobs NI, part of the Happy Jobs group, is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator to join their expanding LEQ team. About the Role: You will coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs within the LEQ department, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources, including field officers, to deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental quality initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate certification programs such as Blue Flag, Green Flag, and cleanliness surveys across boroughs and neighborhoods.
4. Community Engagement: Develop community participation in sustainability initiatives and promote award programs.
5. Communications: Act as the primary contact, respond to technical inquiries, represent the charity at events, and prepare content for various platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work commissioning, and support marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant third-level qualification or three years' equivalent experience, with at least 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office)
* Full driving license and access to transport
Knowledge & Understanding:
* Essential: Environmental issues
* Desirable: Behavior change principles
Personal Qualities:
* Effective independent and team working abilities
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Additional Requirements:
* Occasional travel within Northern Ireland
* Flexibility for occasional beyond-hours work
Salary & Contract:
£30,328, Permanent (subject to funding). Partially funded through the DAERA Environment Fund.
