Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a supportive Alternative Provision in Bexley
* Teach Maths to secondary-aged students who may face challenges in mainstream education, including those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs or special educational needs (SEN)
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons that cater to a range of abilities
* Support students to develop both their mathematical skills and their confidence in the subject
* Work closely with a team of dedicated staff, including teaching assistants and SEN specialists, to provide individualized support
* Track student progress, adapting teaching methods and providing tailored interventions to support learning
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
Experience & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Maths at secondary level, ideally in an alternative provision, SEN, or PRU setting
* Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and the ability to differentiate effectively for diverse learning needs
* A patient and empathetic approach to working with students who may have SEMH or behavioural challenges
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS check required
