This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top 100 law firm based in Wakefield. We are looking to hire a new Legal Advisors - ELPL to join our Legal Services department. The Role We are looking for a Personal Injury Executive to handle a portfolio of claimant fast track employer’s liability and public liability (EL/PL) injury claims for Minster Law clients, to generate fee income and contribute to the general success of the department. You will be responsible for delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered an injury because of an accident and negotiating with third parties to ensure we receive the best settlement figures for our customers in a proactive and timely manner, identify litigation opportunities where appropriate to ensure appropriate claim progression on behalf of customer. Experience with disease and RSI claims is desirable. Core Responsibilities • You will be responsible for delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from an injury. • Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation and quantum. • Drafting documents including statements, pleadings and schedules of loss. • Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation. • Optimising your client’s settlement. • Ability to work with a task-based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations. • Raising awareness of the department and developing your profile. • To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business Person Specification You will be passionate about personal injury. You will be a strong communicator, with excellent negotiation skills and objectional handling. You will be able to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations whilst still achieving objectives.
