At Curly Wurly Café, we have quickly become the heart of Broomhall Park, Sunningdale, and we're now looking for passionate individuals to join our growing team We serve not only exceptional coffee but also a variety of pastries, savories, ice cream, and snacks to satisfy every craving in our community. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment
- Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Assist with food preparation, such as making sandwiches or pastries
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide assistance to customers with menu selection and answer any questions they may have - Delight customers with scrumptious pastries, savories and snacks
- Create a welcoming environment for community members to gather and connect
- Ensure a clean and organised cafe, making it a home away from home for everyone
- Collaborate with the team to guarantee smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic maths skills for cash handling and order processing
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet customer needs in a timely manner
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
