This is a rare opportunity for a highly strategic, analytically minded, and martech-savvy professional to step into a Marketing Strategy Consultant role that blends client strategy, platform innovation, and data-driven marketing. The Role You will act as a data strategy partner and consultant, working 50% of your time with a major retail brand, and 50% across another prestigious account (details to follow). You’ll be joining a tight-knit team of 3 in a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll own and evolve customer data strategies, segmentations, and analytics implementation – helping brands drive engagement and measurable growth. This is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of customer data platforms (CDPs), CRM strategy, analytics, and marketing tech ecosystems like Adobe, GA4, or Salesforce, who enjoys turning complexity into clarity for clients. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of a unified data strategy for a major retail client Own customer segmentation, analytics frameworks, and measurement methodologies Partner with stakeholders to define and activate audience strategies across brands Leverage platforms such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, CDPs, and CRM tools to inform and optimise marketing performance Design data activation roadmaps, campaign playbooks, and customer journey maps Act as a trusted consultant, collaborating cross-functionally with media, marketing, analytics, and tech teams Contribute to the broader consultancy division and engage in innovation and thought leadership Support business development and pitch processes as needed About You Proven background in data strategy, CRM, and martech Comfortable working with Adobe, Salesforce, GA4, and customer data platforms Confident translating business challenges into data solutions, frameworks, and actionable plans Strong communicator with a consultative mindset and the ability to simplify technical concepts Passionate about innovation and client success, with a strategic lens on customer engagement Familiar with data privacy practices (e.g., GDPR) and ethical data use Experience in or alongside media agencies or consulting environments Exposure to cloud-based data ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Apply now or reach out to kat@thedatagals.co.uk – to learn more.
