About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment in Daventry. You will be working with pupils aged 4– 17 who have a range ofplex needs including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), andmunication difficulties.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Planning and delivering individualised, sensory-rich lessons tailored to EHCP oues.
2. Using tools such as PECS, Makaton, and othermunication aids.
3. Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development.
4. Creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence, trust, and enjoyment.
5. Monitoring progress and contributing to review meetings and reports.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or specialist provision.
7. A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
8. Strong resilience, patience, and creativity in the classroom.
9. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles.
10. DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
11. Excellentmunication and relationship-building skills.
