About the Role
Social Workers with empathy and the drive to make a difference are needed to support people to achieve what they want and live as independently as possible in a place they call their home.
We need experienced permanent full and part‑time Social Workers to work across Lancashire as part of our Older People & Physical Disabilities Service. If you would like to be considered for Senior Social Worker vacancies, please also apply.
As part of our new strength‑based vision, Living Better Lives in Lancashire, your role will involve undertaking strength‑based, outcome‑focused assessments and support planning, ensuring that residents receive the right amount of support.
You will support people to access local services, maintain independence, promote health and wellbeing, and live independently. You will also work alongside other agencies, professionals, and informal carers, providing a holistic service.

Requirements
Social Work applicants must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) or have applied to register with SWE.
The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. If successful, you will be required to apply for disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use.
