Salary: Qualified Teachers Pay Scales: Main Pay Scale (MPS) to Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
Fixed Term: until 1st March 2027. Start Date: March 2026.
Charles Darwin Primary is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, committed, and ambitious Reception Teacher (Maternity Cover) with EYFS and KS1 experience. Responsibilities:
* To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
* To monitor and support overall progress and development of students as a teacher and therefore contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
* To offer active support for the School’s Policy and Procedures taking into account the Teachers’ Standards.
Ideal Candidate:
* An appropriate degree and other qualifications required for the award of QTS. Qualified Teacher Status (trainees should be on track to achieve QTS before taking up the post).
* Experience of working with EYFS and KS1 children.
* Experience of supporting children with high needs SEND and behaviour needs.
* Experience of teaching RWI phonics scheme.
* Experience of the monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress.
* Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection.
