We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive reliable, well-prepared equipment on time.
Role Overview
As a Warehouse Operative in the Rental Department, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, preparation, and return of rental equipment. You will ensure all items are accurately picked, packed, inspected, and maintained to the highest standard, while supporting smooth warehouse operations and stock control.
Key Responsibilities
* Picking & Packing: Accurately pick, prepare, and pack rental orders for dispatch, ensuring items meet customer requirements.
* Returns Processing: Receive, check, and log returned equipment, ensuring all items are accounted for.
* Cleaning & Inspection: Thoroughly clean and inspect equipment after each hire to ensure it is safe, functional, and ready for the next rental.
* Stock Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date stock records, assist with stock counts, and report any discrepancies.
* Equipment Care: Ensure all equipment is stored correctly, maintained in good condition, and meets quality standards.
* Health & Safety: Work in line with company health and safety procedures, keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and hazard-free.
* Team Support: Assist colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of warehouse and rental operations.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or rental environment (preferred but not essential).
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
* Ability to follow processes and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to work.
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (training provided).
* Basic IT skills for stock systems and order processing.
