SENIOR STRATEGIST

Made Thought is a London-based creative studio that prides themselves on their progressive approach to crafting brands. Known for their iconic visual style and obsessive attention to detail, Made Thought collaborates with cutting-edge and leading brands, from adidas, MoMa, Pinterest, Stella McCartney to G.F. Smith and Heckfield Place.

Their work explores design as a tool to cultivate desire and humanise brands – to go deep in an increasingly shallow world and they have a bold vision to reimagine the creative agency for tomorrow, globally known for helping the world's most progressive brands to broaden their thinking and use creativity to forge more ambitious futures. Passionate and known for challenging business convention to transform, it is particularly passionate about and experienced in sustainability and more broadly using creativity to have positive impact in

the world.

Beyond its client work, Made Thought also has ambitious plans to expand its own creative output to have more impact in popular culture already having released its own Journal To

Think, and its first pop up store in London in 2019.

It's vision to be "Globally renowned for uncommon creativity" is centred around three core values:

Beyond (thinking further and deeper), Human (beautifully simple ideas that connect more deeply emotion) and Desire (creativity should help brands and businesses to change behaviour and become more meaningfully desirable delivering long term value).

These values are key for the work the studio outputs but are also personal values that they seek in all team members and clients.

ROLE OUTLINE AND EXPECTATIONS

As part of our core mission of 'being famous for progressive thinking and beautiful design to transform and elevate', the Senior Strategist is a fundamental person in helping to shape a progressive vision for our clients that will direct and lead to outstanding creative work that we will deliver.

Crucially, the Senior Strategist plays a key role as a partner along the process of the projects and helps develop and deepen the relationship with the client, constantly looking for new ideas to bring to life their brand across all marketing touchpoints. We are looking for this candidate to broaden our strategic capabilities in developing deeper cultural connections and improving brand relevancy / brand desirability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

— Bring in leading-edge thinking from the world around us, this role will develop and drive the narrative arc of projects.

— Be the strategic lead on key projects; leading and delivering a robust assessment, brand

positioning, creative proposition at the start of projects and where relevant, communications strategy later into projects.

— Act as an internal consultant for the creative team helping to provide a broader, more considered and commercial viewpoint on all/any projects that are led by Senior Designers.

— Lead a full breadth of strategy projects (ie. Positioning, architecture, naming, design, activation) across multiple industries.

— Anchor the delivery of the strategy across all points of connected experience and identify new opportunities for delivery.

— Identify revenue opportunities from existing clients and from the application of new

methodologies.

— Contribute to a highly collaborative and energised atmosphere in which collaboration and positive disruption are encouraged.

— Build trusted relationships with clients and a strong understanding of the client's culture.

— Contribute to and embody the Made Thought brand – work with the Directors to ensure that Made Thought is practising the same level of rigour in thinking for ourselves as we do for our clients, across the overall Made Thought brand and across specific Made Thought internal projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

— Have experience with leading multiple projects at any one time, and be able to balance workload and expectations.

— Demonstrate confidence with helping to coach designers on how they can add more

commerciality in either the creative concept or how it is presented to the client.

— Have knowledge of working within a design-led agency environment and utilise experience built across a broad range of sectors.

— Have a familiarity with data, research and trends, and processing provided reports from clients, whilst balancing analytics with a desire to think and search outside of the box.
