SEMH Teaching Assistant – Secondary School Location: Stockport Start date: ASAP / Flexible Contract type: Full-time / Part-time Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in the Stockport area to support secondary-aged students with complex needs, including mental health challenges, anxiety and behavioural issues. Your role Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that cater to individual needs. Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them develop academic skills, communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour management strategies. Create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters social interaction and personal growth. Who we’re looking for Experience supporting young people with mental health needs in a school or care setting (UK). A calm and confident approach to de-escalating challenging behaviour. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
